Setting your spam filter to delete spam
(Advanced Settings)

Warning: There is currently NO spam software that can guarantee some legitimate emails will not get lost using these settings. It's important that you take the time to train your spam filtering software for at least 2-3 weeks before using this setting. Even still we can take no responsibility that you will not lose any legitimate emails.

We strongly recommend you read this article on the advanced spam filtering options First!   

Advanced Spam Filter Configurations (PDF)

First log into your control panel:


Once you are logged in, click on "Home" from the left hand navigation

Your next screen will look like the image below, click on the mail icon shown.

Your next screen looks like the following image: Click on the email address of the email address you wish to adjust the spam filter settings.

The next screen will look like the image below, click on the "Spam Filter" Icon as shown:

The next screen is where the settings will be changed/modified. We suggest reading this following article before you change these settings:

Configuring your spam settings (PDF)

To increase the spam rating, enter a higher number of "Hits required" for spam. The reccomended setting is 5-7. If you want to setup training for your spam filter, click on the "training" icon above the settings. It is not reccomended you check "Delete" but rather "Mark as spam and store in mailbox" until you have trained your spam filtering settings first! Selecting "Delete" could cause you to miss legitimate emails with no way to retrieve them. If you choose to "Delete" spam, we recommend a higher "hits required for spam" (7 or 8)

When you have finished, be sure to click "OK" at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
